I LOVE FLOWERS :)

What can I say.. all flowers are beautiful. That's why I simply love making cakes that have any flower on them. I had the most fun making these gumpaste flowers this week to decorate my cakes. The first one was a phalaenopsis orchid plant in flowerpot cake for a dear friend's mom's birthday. Everyone's feedback was they thought the flowers were real and that the cake is part of the restaurant's decor, haha! And the best part is my friend's mom was sooo happy with her cake, being an avid gardener herself!

My orchid cake, with ribbons and all :)

The second cake this week is a flower with lilies, as a wedding gift cake. The cake is actually quite small, with the lowest tier a mere 7.5inch wide. I just adore lilies ... :D

Tonight am making peonies for another wedding cake... flowers galore!!

A Night to Remember ... On Cloud 9

We had the honour of preparing the cakes for the cake cutting ceremony at the wedding of Mr Azmir & Ms Hana, the son of Tan Sri Mohd Ramli Kushairi and Puan Sri Maznah. It was a lovely occasion, with the theme 'On Cloud 9' reflecting the mood and happiness of the brid&groom, and the family members. One really memorable element of the wedding was the singing by the groom's sister, Izlyn whose lovely voice and song choices not only touched everyone's emotions, it really took the event to cloud 9! And the siblings' candid and loving tribute to their dear brother got everyone in stitches.

We designed the cake taking into account the colour & event theme, with modularity a bonus especially for distributing the cake easily. We gave the cake height through custom-made cake stands, crystal droplets for bling and to create blue facade (of the sky) and lots of fresh flowers as the clouds.

Bridal Guide magazine photoshoot @ Zoo Negara

Hey! We had a lot of fun at the recent photoshoot for Bridal Guide magazine, where our cakes are featured together with the team wedding-designer extraordinaire, Reka Teemor (http://www.rekateemor.com.my/).  We specially made 2 cakes to suit the overall theme defined by Reka Teemor, and....here they are! A 4-tier and a 2-tier cake to complete the overall display!
